        • PLAYING OUT ON CDJS?Use MP3 320 or AIFF. Rekordbox has never reliably shown WAV artwork. Set WAV FILES → CONVERT TO AIFF above. The audio is identical, just stored in a different container.
        • ALREADY IN YOUR LIBRARY?DJ apps keep their own copy of your tags. In Rekordbox, right-click the track and choose Reload Tag. In Serato, use Rescan ID3 Tags. In Windows, the new art can take a minute to show up while Explorer refreshes its thumbnails.
        • SENDING PROMOS?Label your mix as Title (Extended Mix), the way Beatport does, and put your email or IG in the comment. It shows up right in a DJ's library, so when they love the track they can find you.
        • NO ART IN WINDOWS?Windows only reads cover art embedded in MP3 (and a few other formats), never in WAV or AIFF, no matter which tagger wrote it. Your art is in the file and your DJ apps will see it. For Windows, put folder.jpg next to the tracks: Explorer shows it on the folder, and Windows Media Player shows it as the album art. SAVE ALL (.ZIP) includes it automatically.
        • 32-BIT FLOAT WAV?Ableton's default bounce won't load on most CDJs. Re-export as 24-bit. TAGBOX flags it for you when you load one.

        ▲ Writes ID3v2.3 with UTF-16 text, the version every DJ app, Windows, and car stereos read. WAV files get both an ID3 chunk and a RIFF INFO chunk. AIFF files get a standard ID3 chunk. Real-world support varies by app version, so when in doubt, test one file before you tag a whole crate.
